Title July 4th Menu card from the U.S. Naval Training Station in San Francisco
Scope & Content This card was sent to Mrs. Simon Boos (Mattie) from her son Harry Allen from the U.S. Naval Training School in San Francisco. It was enclosed in an envelope addressed to Mrs. Simon Boos Mendocino City, Mendocino Cal. Postage mark is dated July 5, 1918. Postage was three cents.
Inside the card are lyrics to a song, possibly a Naval anthem by Henry Van Dyke, Chaplain, U.S. Navy. Also in the card is a menu of the meal served that day.
