|Title||Change and a Good Laugh: Chronicles and Reminiscences|
|Physical Description||338 p., illus.: 25 cm|
A collection of reminiscences and reflections by local Mendocino physician, Don Hahn. The pieces, written over a long and rich lifetime, form a fascinating historical record, each piece reflecting a moment in time and capturing a stage in an evolving point of view.
The memoir contains reminiscences of Princeton, where Hahn was a three-time All- American lacrosse player and stories of the summer of 1952 when Hahn traveled in Europe as a 22 year old medical student. 1957 - 1963 were the years that Hahn was stationed in Korea and Germany while in the Air Force Medical Corps. In 1965, the author opened a medical practice in Mendocino. Humorous and endearing stories abound of experiences of patients and of practicing medicine. The Mendocino years include community service and his role as the first chairman of the Mendocino Historical Review Board.
