|Author||Mendocino Coast Genealogical Society.|
|Physical Description||v. : map ; 28 cm.|
This book is a collection of abstracts from the Fort Bragg Advocate dealing with births, deaths and marriages. In addition, this volume includes a military section. Arranged alphabetically, the entries in this section contain some or all of the following: registration, induction, enlistment, branch of service, locations of training and combat, promotions, awards, wounds and discharge. Birth announcements usually include date of birth, name of parents and residence. Death notices provide the name of the deceased and other information such as age, residence, occupation, names of family members, place of birth and place of burial. Marriages are listed alphabetically by the groom's surname, name of bride, minister and places of residence. Brides are listed in the index under their maiden name. A fullname index covers each section.
These notices can also be found in the Mendocino Beacon but on a different date than the Fort Bragg Advocate.
