|Title||A Sunday Afternoon with the Canclini Family|
|Author||Mendocino Coast Community Educational Television (MCCET)|
|Physical Description||One DVD (120 min)|
Pieto (Peter) Canclini was born in Bornio, Italy in 1861 and Ermene Gilda Pozzi was born near Lake Como in 1862. They were married in 1884. In 1898, Peter came to America for greater opportunities but it took five years before he was able to send for his wife and four children.
After the death of Gilda in 1908, Peter and his five children, Gildo, Anthony, Hugo, Margaret and Peirina moved often and eventually homesteaded on an 80 acre property in Little River. These and many other stories are told by the family as they remember their parents, grandparents and growing up on the Mendocino Coast. Speakers are Bob Canclini, his sister, Gilda Lillian Canclini Drinkwater and cousin, Doris Canclini Pinckney.
This is the nineteenth in a series of local history conversations taking place on the 4th Sunday of each month at the Kelley House. Event occurred on July 23, 2006.
