Caption Locomotive No. 7, "Samson"
Description Locomotive No. 7, "Samson". The Samson began working for the Caspar Lumber Company in 1924. It was almost a duplicate in size to the "Trojan", but the new engine was superheated and had an attractive Vanderbilt tender. The low frame was required to accommodate the low cars to which it would be coupled in its daily operation. The Sampson soon became the prime locomotive out of Camp One.
