The Laws driving from Little River to Mendocino on their way to church. In the wagon is Robert and Mary with their children, Edward and Jean. The horse was named "Susie."
The Laws lived in Caspar but moved to Mendocino in the early 1900's where they lived at the Carson Hotel. From Mendocino, they moved to Little River, and in 1914, Robert Law bought the Hills Ranch from Joshua Grindle, where the Hill House Inn is now located, and operated a dairy ranch.
